Curiosities

I went for a wander down Manchester & Madras Streets this afternoon, so here are some random things of note (or not)

SIGN O' THE TIMES...
Parking, parking everywhere, and not a thing to do...

But wait, there's MONOPOLY!
$240? Might not get much trade at that price, love...
Call me back when you've upgraded to a hotel...

ALICE, Alice, who the f*ck is Alice?
Alice in Videoland + what's left of McKenzie & Willis
High/Tuam corner

C is 4 COFFEE
C1, opening soon(?) next door to Alice's
Former C1 site, looking through to the Twisted Hop

Don't panic! You can, of course, still get the awesomeness of the best coffee & beans in C-City fresh from the source: C4, which has been open since aaages ago, just across the cordon on Tuam Street.

Gardeners keeping up appearances outside Alice's.
probably won't cop as much flak as last time...!

DID YOU GET MY GOOD SIDE?

A LOAD OF BULL
Michael Parekowhai's "On First Looking Into Chapman's Homer", exhibition by Chch Art Gallery at NG Gallery (& vacant lot) on Madras St.
Sitting Bull

Raging Bull

Mountain oysters, now in Jumbo size

HOUSE UPDATE:
Making progress, brick by brick...
 28/6
 28/6

The weather hasn't been helping much - freezing temperatures and rain have been our lot recently, which aren't exactly prime bricklaying conditions.
 6/7
 9/7
It's getting closer to the pointy end of things now... wardrobe & linen closet shelving goes in tomorrow, and the painters arrive shortly. Excited much? Hell yes!
